of comic book style drawing and sequential storytelling
I feel as though I can finally undertake a, "serious"
comic book project. And that project is a Dr D comic book.
Dr D is a Mad scientist character who brings the dead back
to life, a living allegory for mankinds own devious yearning
for knowledge so that he can cheat his own mortality and
break the cycle of life and death. The character first came about
as part of a movie idea between myself and some friends of mine,
it was decided that I would play the role of the "Evil"
doctor and thats where it took off.
I personalized the character and personified his image;
I bought the wardrobe, worked on the sneer, and eventually developed him into a sort of pseudo-alter-ego,
my Myspace being evidence of such. [link]
I made the character a part of me, or more accurately,
a metaphor for my artistic, monster making. And now,
Im ready to state that there will be a Dr D comic to be
hitting the web soon. The first cover is done [link]
and a great deal of story has already been developed,
wish me luck as I hope I have the constitution to see the
work thru.
